Any artist will tell you, you give a little of yourself to everything you create. To this painting, I gave of myself that little more, as it took me back to the last walks with my beloved dog, Blossie, who loved being under the cooling canopy of the trees on an early summer’s day. I looked up; she looked down. But we were both very contented in each other’s company, and in the company of the woodland around us.
